Haji Riaz Ahmed is the fourth and youngest among the brothers and today serves as the current leader of the family’s industrial legacy and business group. Known for his visionary leadership, modern business approach, and strong commitment to family values, he continues to carry forward the legacy established by his elder brothers while leading the group into a new era of diversification and growth.
Following the demise of his elder brother, Haji Nisar Ahmed, in 2017, Haji Riaz Ahmed assumed leadership of both Mezan Group and Hamza Sugar Mills as Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, the group expanded significantly into multiple new sectors and industries, strengthening its position as one of Pakistan’s most diversified and respected business groups.
With a vision focused on innovation, expansion, and long-term sustainability, Haji Riaz Ahmed introduced several new ventures under the umbrella of Mezan Group. These include Mezan Beverages, widely recognized today for Cola Next — one of the country’s most popular beverage brands — along with Mezan Tea, Mezan Properties, Mezan Global, Mezan Rice, Bin Riaz Bakeries, and Mezan Dairy. Through these ventures, he further expanded the family’s presence across consumer goods, food industries, real estate, agriculture, dairy, and international trade.
As the youngest brother of the founding generation, Haji Riaz Ahmed holds a deeply respected and emotional position within the family. Beyond being a business leader, he is regarded as a mentor, guide, and unifying figure for the younger generations of the family. His wisdom, leadership, and dedication continue to inspire the group’s future direction while preserving the values, principles, and unity upon which the family legacy was built.
Today, under his guidance, the legacy established by the four brothers continues to grow stronger across industries, carrying forward decades of entrepreneurship, resilience, faith, and service to society.
